About Sara Rector |
|
I have been in the counseling field since 1980, and in private practice in the Thousand Oaks area for the past 11 years helping individuals, couples, and families deal with relationship and communication issues in traditional and creative ways. I help people access their own inner resources and strengths. My focus is strength building and self-development. I recently developed a series of audio presentations based on my unique therapy programs to support individuals and couples who are dealing with the emotional, physical and relationship challenges that can result from experiencing infertility. These audio presentations are available on CD and can be purchased online at www.fertilitypsychotherapy.com.
I am a member of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (CAMFT). I was the Director of the Long Beach Rape Hotline, and was the Group Therapist for Women in Abusive Relationships. I worked for Charter Hospital in Needs Assessment, helping patients and professionals access treatment resources and options. I was also part of the crisis team, assessing suicidality and drug and alcohol addiction. Currently, I am a support group leader for a national infertility association. Before entering private practice, I had a distinguished sales career with GTE/Verizon, and I was listed in the Who's Who of Women Executives, and the Who's Who of Young Executives. |
